Think homemade nut brittles, creative scary treats for Halloween, spice rubs for your Turkey or rent a deep fat fryer and give Thanksgiving an entirely new crunch.

Fall and Winter are the best time for feasting on plentiful roasts, and whole chickens. When making a lavish meal think ahead as to how what you are preparing might turn into two meals. Ideas: Save your chicken bones and carcass to make wholesome chicken soup, or that Pork Roast to be incorporated into a stir fry, mashed potatoes saved are perfect and quick for making potato pancakes, a lovely side dish or vegetarian option alongside grilled vegetables. So when you cook big one night, think big for another.
